ELWOOD would love to be your new Companion!

ELWOOD is an adult Treeing Walker Coonhound.  He is about 2 yrs old and full of energy.  It is really rather quite sad, Elwood acts like a puppy and this is probably because he never had the opportunity to be a puppy.  Elwood has many puppy characteristics in an adult body!  So he needs someone who has the time to teach him how to be an adult dog and give him the exercise he needs.  I would imagine Elwood was either tied to a chain or in a kennel his whole life, he very obviously was not in a house. He has made good progress on his housetraining and cratetraining though he needs much more attention and exercise than we can provide in a rescue situation.  He loves everyone though is a little overzealous about it!  He does not really jump up but thinks he belongs on your lap.  Hounds make wonderful pets and Elwood will be no exception.  The right person can offer this dog a home and be rewarded with a wonderful companion!
If you might be interested in meeting ELWOOD please E-MAIL us at lyonsdoggden@yahoo.com for an application.  His adoption donation is 145.00. We require a pre-adoption application, vet reference, home visit and adoption contract.

ELWOOD is completely vetted.  He has been neutered, has all his shots and tested negative for heartworm, he is on preventatives both for heartworm and fleas and ticks.  Elwood WILL stay within a 4 foot fenced area.
We would recommend no really small children as Elwood is very rambunctious and might knock over a little child.  Cats are probably not a good idea either as he shows increased interest in ours!  He does love other dogs but still prefers his people!!
